Finding Old Series, 2023

Ban Bo Haeo, Lampang Province, Thailand is my grandmother’s house where I spent most of my childhood. It is also where the Finding Old Series began.

This series made me realize how deeply objects influence memory, creativity, and the stories we choose to tell. Many of the items I photographed, old, worn, or sometimes abandoned, are still filled with meaning. They carry traces of everyday life and stand as quiet evidence of the people who once lived with them.

By revisiting these objects, I was not simply preserving the past but learning to see them as materials for storytelling, emotional anchors, and starting points for art.

Through this process, I began to understand the creative potential in what is often overlooked. The idea that objects, especially those considered obsolete, can hold narratives, emotions, and cultural memories has become central to my still life practice.

For me, the Finding Old Series is more than a return to childhood memories. It has become the foundation of how I think and work as an artist today. It has shaped my approach to observe carefully, choose intentionally, and use objects not just as subjects but as collaborators in creating meaning.
