JOYFUL INSTINCTS, 2024
It’s like being a child again, getting our hands dirty, wandering freely among flowers, snails, and the overlooked details of ordinary things that somehow anchor us in the present.
As we grow older, the unplanned, imaginative, and authentic play of our youth is often replaced by activities with clear goals and defined outcomes. We become more focused on results than the process itself. The brightness, wonder, and playful freedom of childhood gradually fade, along with the innocence that once made everything around us feel so alive.
Joyful Instincts seeks to revive those primal instincts. Through capturing the mundane in the most honest and unrestricted way, it searches for the remnants of playfulness still lingering in adult life.
